New Delhi, April 14 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored B.R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, emphasizing the lasting impact of his contributions to the nation. In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister remarked, "Today, we pay tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. His endeavors in nation-building serve as a profound source of motivation. His life and legacy continue to inspire many in their quest for a fair and progressive society."

In a video message, PM Modi highlighted the significance of the day, stating, "This day holds great importance in our national history as we celebrate Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Jayanti. He was more than an individual; he embodied determination. His existence was intertwined with the struggle for equality, particularly for the backward and Dalit communities. Despite facing numerous challenges and opposition, he never wavered in his mission."

He further articulated, "By embracing the principles laid down by Babasaheb, our nation is effecting positive transformations in the lives of all, whether they belong to the poor, middle class, or affluent segments of society."

In another message, the Prime Minister stated, "The essence of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's character and his contributions will perpetually inspire the journey towards nation-building."

PM Modi also shared an enlightening Sanskrit verse, noting: "Individuals with a noble spirit transcend narrow-mindedness, viewing the entire world as one family. To them, no one is a stranger; instead, every person is akin to their own. This ethos forms the bedrock of global unity and harmony."

Numerous Union ministers and leaders contributed their tributes via social media on this occasion. Union Home Minister Amit Shah remarked that Ambedkar established a solid foundation for Indian democracy by crafting a Constitution that guarantees equal rights and opportunities for all societal groups.

He stated, "Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Ji firmly established our democratic framework by formulating a Constitution that ensures equal rights and opportunities across all classes. He vigorously opposed Article 370 to uphold the integrity of the nation. Baba Saheb, who advocated for education and organization within society, teaches us that when the resolve is for national service and societal welfare, no obstacle is insurmountable."

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded Ambedkar as a remarkable social reformer and a pivotal architect of modern India, highlighting his life dedicated to achieving equality and justice for marginalized groups.

He added, "Babasaheb devoted his entire existence to promoting equality and harmony within society. His life was centered around securing equal rights for the underprivileged."

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, in an X post, honored Ambedkar, referring to him as the architect of the Constitution and a notable social reformer.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed his respects, calling Ambedkar an "invaluable treasure of Mother India" whose legacy continues to steer the nation towards equality, justice, and social cohesion.

"On the occasion of the birth anniversary of 'Bharat Ratna' Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Ji, the creator of the Indian Constitution who laid the groundwork for a harmonious and inclusive society illuminated by the lofty ideals of equality, justice, and fraternity, I extend my humble tribute," CM Yogi posted on X.

"Baba Saheb, who dedicated himself to uplifting the marginalized and serving the people, is truly an invaluable gem of Mother India. His inspiring journey will forever be a guiding light for us all," he concluded.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was born on this day in 1891 in Mhow (currently Dr. Ambedkar Nagar), Madhya Pradesh. He was an eminent jurist, economist, and social reformer pivotal in drafting the Indian Constitution. His life was dedicated to combating caste discrimination and advocating for equality and social justice in India.
