Dr. Ambedkar’s relentless struggle for equality and human dignity continues to inspire many. Today, as we honor his legacy, we reaffirm our dedication to realizing his vision. I also shared a picture from my visit to Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai earlier this year. Jai Bhim!"
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, while paying his respects, expressed: "I honor the nation builder, guardian of social justice, and Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Day. His aspiration for an egalitarian society, his invaluable teachings, and his unparalleled contribution to the Constitution will always inspire us."

Observed every year on December 6, Mahaparinirvan Diwas commemorates the death anniversary of Ambedkar, who passed away in 1956 at his residence in Delhi.
Dr Ambedkar was a key member of the seven-person committee responsible for drafting the Indian Constitution and played an integral role in shaping modern India. In recognition of his monumental contributions, he was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, in 1990.
This day serves as a reminder to uphold the principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity championed by Dr Ambedkar and enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
