This occurred when a fast-moving truck carrying approximately 40 passengers overturned on the Moondi–Sanawad highway near Dudgaon, in the Punasa outpost area of Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh.
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Babulal, from Talwadiya village. All of the injured belonged to the Gurjar community and were returning from a customary ‘mamera’ ceremony (a wedding-related event) held in Thukra Devla village. What began as a joyful journey from Talwadiya (Attar) turned into a scene of tragedy.
As per police reports, the driver lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle. The overloaded truck veered off the road and toppled, landing approximately 25–30 feet away.
