Chandigarh, Jan 27 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on Monday that there is a strong demand among the populace for the Universal Civil Code (UCC) to be enacted nationwide, and a decision regarding its implementation in the state will be made at the appropriate time.

In response to a media inquiry about the UCC's implementation in the neighboring state of Uttarakhand, which is governed by the BJP and has become the first state to adopt it, Saini remarked, “The entire nation is taking the UCC seriously. The people desire its implementation across the country,” and added, “The decision on UCC will be taken at the right time.”

While highlighting his government’s accomplishments during the first 100 days of their third consecutive term, Saini shared, “We are supplying water to Delhi from Sonipat. You can verify the quality of the water we are providing; anyone is welcome to check.”

He made this statement while addressing allegations from AAP leader and former Chief Minister regarding the BJP government in Haryana allegedly sending polluted water through the Yamuna to Delhi.

On this occasion, Saini also inaugurated 324 crèche centers to celebrate the completion of 100 days in office. He mentioned that the government has issued appointment letters to 25,000 young people as soon as he assumed office. These recruitments were planned before the Assembly elections but were halted due to the Model Code of Conduct imposed by the Election Commission.

The Chief Minister asserted that his administration “is operating at three times the speed.” He stated, “We made 240 commitments to the citizens in our Sankalp Patra (assembly election manifesto), of which 18 resolutions have already been fulfilled, and we are rapidly working to implement six more.”

“Fifty additional resolutions have been submitted for administrative approval,” Saini clearly indicated.

Taking a jab at the neighboring Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, he mentioned that despite having nearly two years left in their term, they have not even attempted to implement their election manifesto.

The Chief Minister noted that they have initiated samadhan shivirs to address public grievances. He added, “We have resolved 45,000 public complaints in 100 days through the Samadhan portal.”

Regarding the procurement of crops at the minimum support price (MSP), he stated that Haryana is the first state in India to purchase 24 crops at MSP. “Furthermore, the farmers receive their payments within 48 hours of selling their crops,” he concluded.
