Jaipur, Aug 7 (NationPress) In a significant achievement, the Udaipur Police in Rajasthan have dismantled a cyber fraud syndicate that was deceiving American citizens by masquerading as loan providers.

Following the directives of Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, a specialized team led by Additional SP Gopal Swaroop Mewada and CO Suryaveer Singh Rathore executed the operation.

As per SP Goyal, the fraudulent group was operating from a villa located in Nadra village of Nai, Udaipur.

Utilizing advanced technological tools, they were able to collect personal details such as names, phone numbers, and addresses of US citizens.

By employing Internet-based platforms like Google Voice, they made calls and sent messages impersonating bank officials, offering loans with enticing interest rates but no guarantees.

Victims were coerced into paying multiple fees, including processing fees, loan transfer charges, and insurance premiums, all in US dollars.

This deceptive scheme allowed the fraudsters to siphon money from unsuspecting American citizens. Acting on reliable intelligence, the police raided the villa and apprehended seven suspects.

A comprehensive technical examination of the seized electronic devices unveiled their modus operandi. The group operated under the guidance of a mastermind named Kuldeep, who communicated with them via WhatsApp using an international number.

Kuldeep provided them with the personal information of US nationals and coordinated fraudulent schemes from afar. Police confiscated 9 laptops, 10 mobile phones, and other digital devices from the perpetrators.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the group had only recently commenced operations on August 6, but due to the swift actions and vigilance of Constable Sandeep Kumar of Nai police station, their plans were swiftly disrupted.

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Binoy (Ahmedabad, Gujarat), Vijay Singh (Morena, Madhya Pradesh), Neeraj (Mehsana, Gujarat), Abhishek Singh (Ahmedabad, Gujarat), Robin (Thane, Maharashtra), Cyril (Ahmedabad, Gujarat), and Omkar Ganesh Bhindi (Kolhapur, Maharashtra).

Constables Manoj Kumar and Praveen Singh also significantly contributed to the successful operation, alongside SHO Nai Lilaram and Constable Sandeep Kumar, whose timely intelligence was pivotal, an official stated.
