Lucknow, Aug 14 (NationPress) A groundbreaking 24-hour discussion on the 'Vision Document 2047' is currently in progress within the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Senior ministers are elaborating on comprehensive strategies aimed at economic development, social equity, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure growth.
This extraordinary session, which commenced on Wednesday, signifies a pivotal moment in defining the state's long-term growth trajectory. The government has reaffirmed its goal of transforming Uttar Pradesh into India's leading 'viksit' (developed) state by 2047, aspiring for zero poverty, world-class infrastructure, and advanced technology.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the session following an event commemorating Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. While the initial deadline for concluding the debate was set for 11 a.m. on Thursday, discussions are still ongoing.
During the debate, Cabinet Minister Dayashankar Singh stated, "In line with the vision for Viksit Bharat and Viksit Uttar Pradesh's 'Vision 2047,' CM Yogi Adityanath has called this 24-hour session where all ministers are highlighting their departments' accomplishments from 2017 to 2025 and outlining plans for growth from 2025 to 2047."
"The objective is to track progress across every sector and ensure Uttar Pradesh makes the highest contribution to the nation’s advancement," he remarked.
Singh, also the Transport Minister, emphasized technological advancements, saying, "Previously, obtaining a permit was cumbersome. Now, applications can be submitted via mobile phones even at night, and the Transport Department issues permits online. Our Vision 2047 addresses challenges related to fuel, pollution, and road safety. By then, vehicles will not only traverse roads but also fly and navigate water."
Minister Anil Rajbhar shared with IANS, "This has been a highly productive discussion. Numerous esteemed MLAs provided invaluable insights. All ministers thoroughly presented their department's initiatives in the Assembly. This is a truly historic moment for the state."
Minister Ashish Patel expressed to IANS, "Only leaders with a grand vision can conceptualize such a document. This continuous 24-hour dialogue, involving all Assembly and Council members, is undeniably commendable."
Minister Sanjay Nishad remarked that CM Yogi's vision for 2047 indicates that India can "only emerge as a leading global economy if Uttar Pradesh progresses."
"If our state attains self-sufficiency, the entire nation will follow suit, and our governance is crucial to this aim," he added.
Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar mentioned to IANS, "The government’s goal is to propel the state towards development. To fulfill the Prime Minister's vision of a Viksit and Aatmanirbhar Bharat by 2047, Uttar Pradesh, being the largest state, is vital. We are now executing initiatives across 18 divisions that the previous Samajwadi Party government could not realize, with robust support from the central government."
Independent MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh commended both the Chief Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies aimed at "accelerating development and enhancing the state’s economy."
"The CM's innovative move to invite MLAs to share their visions for positioning the state as a leader in development is highly commendable," he added.
