The presentation of commemorative coins and a dedicated postage stamp underscored the significance of the UPSC completing 100 years of its existence. Established in 1926, the Commission has been the backbone of recruitment to India's civil services, conducting examinations for the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, and dozens of other central services.
President Murmu's Other Engagements
Separately, Rashtrapati Bhavan confirmed that President Murmu also received the Governor of Odisha, Braj Mohan Ram, and the Governor of Karnataka, Dr Sudha Yadav, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the same day, according to the President's Secretariat's official social media account.

In a separate development, the Vice President's Secretariat announced that Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will travel to Tamil Nadu on Friday, 30 October. He is scheduled to pay floral tributes at Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram on the occasion of Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Jayanthi, and will also attend the Golden Jubilee Celebrations and the 39th Convocation Ceremony of Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University) in Dindigul.
Earlier this week, Radhakrishnan visited Vijayawada to address the Ruby Jubilee celebrations of Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, where he called for greater investment in medical research and innovation, emphasised the role of emerging technologies in transforming healthcare, and urged doctors to lead efforts in building a drug-free society.
