Dehradun, March 23 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, marked three successful years in his role by reiterating his government's dedication to development and progress, vowing to continually meet the expectations of the citizens with unwavering commitment.
In his statement, CM Dhami expressed gratitude to the "God-like public" of Uttarakhand for their steadfast support.
On the platform X, he remarked, "With the love, affection, and blessings of everyone, our government has reached the milestone of three years in its second term. Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have focused on positioning 'Devbhoomi' Uttarakhand among the foremost states in the nation."
He recognized the confidence the public has placed in his leadership, noting that breaking the cycle of changing governments in the 2022 elections was both a joyous occasion and a significant responsibility.
"Your tremendous support has motivated us to strive diligently to meet the hopes and dreams of the populace," he stated.
Highlighting major achievements, CM Dhami said, "Over these past three years, we have honored our commitment to good governance through the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, stringent anti-copying laws, tough conversion legislation, and anti-riot measures. We have also demonstrated our resolve to safeguard the original essence of Devbhoomi by taking strong action against land jihad, love jihad, illegal madrasas, and encroachment."
He underscored the state's progress in sustainable development, infrastructure, and connectivity, with significant advancements in road, rail, and ropeway construction.
"In the last three years, we have created over 20,000 government jobs for young applicants and ensured a 30 percent reservation for women, resulting in a marked reduction in the state's unemployment rate, now below the national average," he emphasized.
Additionally, he mentioned the redevelopment of religious sites, the promotion of adventure tourism and local products, the success of the homestay initiative, improved sports facilities, and notable advancements in healthcare.
"These initiatives are crafting a new chapter in the evolution of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand," he added.
Confidence in Uttarakhand's future was expressed by CM Dhami as he assured, "With your blessings, Devbhoomi is ready to embark on new developmental paths. As your Chief Servant, my commitment to serving you is unwavering."
To commemorate the occasion, CM Dhami also took part in the 'Fit India Run' at Maharana Pratap Sports College in Dehradun, advocating for an active lifestyle as part of the Fit India initiative.
