Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday, 26 July 2026 announced the launch of the Kasganj–Lucknow (Aishbagh) Daily Express, a new daily rail service aimed at strengthening passenger connectivity across Uttar Pradesh. The minister shared the announcement on X, stating the service would make travel more convenient for thousands of passengers.

In his post, Vaishnaw wrote: 'कासगंज–लखनऊ (ऐशबाग) दैनिक एक्सप्रेस का शुभारंभ' — translating to 'Launch of the Kasganj–Lucknow (Aishbagh) Daily Express' — adding that the service would provide 'new strength to rail connectivity in Uttar Pradesh' and make journeys 'more convenient for thousands of passengers.'

Kasganj is a railway junction town in western Uttar Pradesh, historically connected to regional routes linking Agra, Bareilly, and surrounding districts. Lucknow's Aishbagh station serves as a key node in the state capital's rail network, catering to northern and central route passengers.
