Chennai, April 18 (NationPress) Actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay has voiced serious allegations against the ruling DMK, claiming they are utilizing state resources to hinder the campaign efforts of his party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), as the Tamil Nadu Assembly election heats up.

In a powerful statement, Vijay accused the government of intentionally delaying or canceling permissions for public gatherings and outreach initiatives, which not only disrupt his campaign but also that of TVK candidates across various Assembly constituencies.

He characterized these actions as attempts to undermine the party's increasing traction among voters.

This comes after reports indicated a campaign event in Cuddalore was scrapped, and a door-to-door outreach initiative in Perambur was also canceled due to unapproved permits.

The TVK leader contended that these occurrences demonstrate a systematic effort to diminish the party's visibility in the eyes of the electorate.

"Distraction tactics during elections are not uncommon, but the public must stay alert," Vijay remarked, encouraging citizens to critically evaluate the political developments in the state.

Vijay launched a scathing critique of the DMK administration, accusing it of engaging in "unfettered misrule and corruption," while also making "endless false promises" to deceive the populace.

In a pointed statement, he likened the ruling DMK to a "limited company," asserting that voters are prepared to "restrict them and send them home" in the forthcoming election.

The TVK leader also claimed that certain media outlets are generating confusion among the public by disseminating "fabricated reports" regarding the approvals of his party's campaign activities.

He argued that these narratives aim to compromise the credibility and outreach of TVK.

Referencing prominent social reformers such as E.V. Ramasamy, K. Kamaraj, and C.N. Annadurai, Vijay emphasized that Tamil Nadu's deep-rooted commitment to social justice and secular principles would thwart the rise of "fascist and anti-people forces".

Despite the alleged obstacles, the TVK leader expressed confidence that a grassroots, people-driven momentum in favor of TVK is gaining strength throughout the state.

Vijay expressed optimism that the TVK would navigate these challenges, secure electoral victory, and "make history".

As the campaign enters a critical juncture, Vijay's comments indicate a rise in political rhetoric, positioning himself and his party as formidable challengers to the state's traditional political landscape.
