The victim has been named as Asha Devi, the spouse of a retired Border Security Force (BSF) inspector.

Initial reports indicate that a private bus was traveling from Hazaribagh to Patna, carrying more than 45 individuals.

The bus flipped over when the driver attempted to switch from the national highway to a lower road. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the mishap was due to the driver's negligence.

After the accident, passengers trapped inside the bus had to break windows to escape.

Jaiprakash Thakur, a retired BSF inspector who was with his wife Asha Devi, mentioned that they were returning from a wedding in Hazaribagh when the incident occurred.

Asha Devi suffered severe injuries and was initially taken to Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH) for treatment, but unfortunately, she passed away during treatment.
