Woman Swindled Under Investment Ruse and Assaulted in Haryana

Gurugram, Jan 12 (NationPress) A woman has reportedly been deceived under the guise of doubling her investment and was subjected to repeated assaults in Sohna, Haryana.
The perpetrator also swindled her out of Rs 2 lakh by promising lucrative returns through investments in the stock market.
According to her report to the police, she resides with her family in a rented home in the Sohna vicinity.
She indicated that a neighbor frequently visited her, enticing her with the prospect of substantial profits from stock market investments.
“The accused engaged in intimate relations with me over an eight-month period. With the assistance of his associates, they monitored my husband’s activities,” the woman revealed to law enforcement.
The victim stated that when she demanded her money back, the accused summoned her to his brother’s apartment, where both individuals assaulted her.
When she fought back, the assailant threatened her with severe repercussions, as per her testimony.
The offender refused to return her funds and menaced her, stating that if she requested her money again, he would release an obscene video of her, according to police reports.
The woman disclosed that the accused had recorded the assault and used it as leverage against her.
On Saturday, the woman underwent a medical examination.
“Her statements will be documented soon. A task force has been formed to locate the suspect. He will be apprehended,” stated Praveen Kumar, SHO of Sohna City police station.
In a separate case, the Udyog Vihar police arrested an individual on Saturday for defrauding someone by promising employment.
The suspect was identified as Karan Singh, a resident of Gadhi village in Kaithal district.
On Friday, a victim reported to the Udyog Vihar police that he had been duped in the name of securing a job by a fraudulent company called Reliable Global Private Limited.
The police registered a case and initiated an investigation, apprehending the suspect in the Udyog Vihar area on Saturday. The accused was presented in court for questioning and subsequently placed in a three-day remand.
