Pappu Yadav Challenges Amit Shah on Unkept Promises During Seemanchal Visit
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Patna, Feb 25 (NationPress) During the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the Seemanchal area, Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, known as Pappu Yadav, called attention to the unfulfilled election commitments made to the local populace, especially the farmers.
Pappu Yadav emphasized that a pledge had been made regarding the creation of a maize and makhana processing factory in Purnea and surrounding regions during the election campaign.
“It’s now time to fulfill that commitment,” he insisted.
The MP highlighted that farmers in Seemanchal are recognized nationally for their production of makhana and maize, yet the lack of processing facilities and industries prevents them from receiving fair compensation for their crops.
“Establishing a factory in this area is not merely a promise; it is the right of the Seemanchal residents,” he declared, urging for the prompt establishment of agro-processing industries in the region.
Pappu Yadav also advocated for a special economic package for the most disadvantaged communities in Seemanchal, asserting that only targeted interventions can enhance the socio-economic status of the area.
In a political jab at the ruling alliance, Pappu Yadav responded to the Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s comments in the Bihar Assembly, claiming he possesses a file on every leader.
“If such a file exists, it ought to be disclosed rather than concealed,” he remarked, adding that revealing the truth would unveil the genuine nature of politics.
He alleged that both the ruling party and the opposition in Bihar seem to be intimidated.
Regarding remarks from BJP national president Nitin Nabin about Rahul Gandhi, Pappu Yadav noted that Rahul Gandhi's appeal transcends national borders.
He accused the BJP of lacking a solid agenda, which leads them to target Rahul Gandhi to distract from critical issues.
Pappu Yadav also brought attention to the case of a NEET student who was raped and murdered in Patna.
He claimed that when he raised this issue, a conspiracy was devised against him, resulting in a reduction of his security.
The statements made during Amit Shah’s visit to Seemanchal suggest that political discourse in Bihar is poised to escalate in the near future.
