Did MP CM Yadav Criticize Rahul Gandhi's Tribute Etiquette?

Bhopal, June 3 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, took a sharp shot at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his recent visit to Bhopal. The Chief Minister criticized Gandhi for not removing his footwear while paying a floral tribute to his grandmother, the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, stating it as a disrespect towards cultural customs.

During a press briefing at the BJP headquarters in Bhopal, Yadav remarked, "I learned that Rahul Gandhi visited Bhopal today, which is commendable. However, he failed to take off his shoes when paying respects at the statue of his grandmother (Indira Gandhi), which does not create a favorable impression."

CM Yadav emphasized that "sensitivity is paramount in Sanatan Dharma", which he believes is a key reason for the BJP's success in establishing a strong rapport with the populace through development initiatives and cultural values.

"I think it’s a matter of sensitivity," he added, urging Gandhi to be more attentive.

In the meantime, Rahul Gandhi, currently the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, held a significant meeting of the Congress Political Affairs Committee (PAC) at the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office in Bhopal.

This assembly included senior party members, notably with the absence of Nakul Nath, Kamal Nath's son, who is a veteran Congress figure in Madhya Pradesh.

Earlier that day, as Gandhi's convoy traveled from the airport to the PCC office, a group of enthusiastic party supporters briefly halted his vehicle, chanting slogans in his favor. The police quickly intervened to disperse the gathering, highlighting the enthusiasm surrounding his visit.

Gandhi's schedule in Bhopal is filled with important events. Over a span of six hours, he is set to preside over three consecutive meetings at the Congress state headquarters.

Later, he is expected to address a convention of district and block presidents at Ravindra Bhavan, aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots leadership. This visit is particularly significant as it comes shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech at the Mahila Maha Sammelan at Jamboree Maidan on May 31.

Gandhi’s trip to Bhopal is viewed as a strategic effort to revitalize the Congress party’s organizational structure in Madhya Pradesh, especially after facing recent electoral challenges.

Furthermore, Gandhi is anticipated to officially launch the "Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan", an initiative aimed at reorganizing the party’s leadership and reinforcing its grassroots presence. This campaign seeks to counter the BJP’s rising influence in the state by encouraging deeper engagement with local leaders and party workers.
