Tokyo/Lucknow, Feb 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, commenced his visit to Japan by engaging in comprehensive discussions with executives from prominent Japanese companies. He advocated for their proactive involvement in the vast investment opportunities available in the state, particularly in logistics parks, warehousing, multi-modal transport infrastructure, and medical device production.
Positioning Uttar Pradesh as a pivotal center for global supply chains and high-value manufacturing, the Chief Minister highlighted the Medical Device Park being established in the YEIDA region as a remarkable opportunity for Japanese enterprises.
He mentioned that this initiative offers a highly supportive environment for Japanese businesses, as the region is evolving into an ideal location for high-value manufacturing, boasting modern infrastructure, excellent connectivity, favorable policies, and a single-window clearance system.
"Uttar Pradesh not only supplies land and infrastructure to investors but also guarantees policy stability, a skilled workforce, and a government recognized for its prompt decision-making," the Chief Minister added.
During his visit, he met with Shigeki Tanabe, Business In-Charge of Konoike Transport Co. Ltd, to explore investment prospects in logistics parks, warehousing, and multi-modal transport infrastructure within Uttar Pradesh.
He underscored that the geographical and industrial landscape of Uttar Pradesh presents unique prospects for investors.
The Chief Minister also interacted with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer and COO of Infrastructure Projects Business Unit at Mitsui & Co., along with senior team members, to discuss state investment opportunities.
Upon his arrival in Tokyo, the Chief Minister received a ceremonial welcome, hosted by Junichi Ishidera, Vice Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, with the presence of India’s Ambassador to Japan, Nagma M. Malik, and members of the Indian community.
He expressed his sentiments on social media, stating, “I have just reached Tokyo, Japan. I pay my respects to the divine land of the rising sun, referring to Lord Ram as 'Aditya'.”
During his two-day excursion to Japan, CM Yogi is also set to experience a 100-kilometer journey on a Maglev train, a revolutionary mode of transport that floats above tracks using magnetic technology, achieving speeds of up to 600 km/h.
