Greater Noida, March 28 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the inauguration of the Noida International Airport in Jewar on Saturday, emphasizing that this airport project will significantly reshape the state and boost its growth trajectory.
He indicated that this development serves as a robust representation of a transforming “New India” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister expressed that the airport will unveil a new pathway for development in Uttar Pradesh, enhancing global connectivity and establishing the state as a key hub for investments.
He attributed the successful implementation of various schemes over the past decade to the Centre’s effective policies, resulting in real, measurable outcomes.
Addressing economic resilience, CM Yogi highlighted that India has successfully maintained stability amid global uncertainties, particularly concerning the pricing and supply of petroleum products.
In a critique of previous administrations, he noted that Uttar Pradesh, once perceived as a development laggard, is now emerging with a unique and vibrant identity.
“With enhanced law and order and strong infrastructure, the state has become a desirable location for investors,” he remarked.
He pointed out that the foundation stone laid in November 2021 has now culminated in the inauguration of the airport's first phase, demonstrating the timely execution under the “double engine” government.
Linking the inauguration to the festive spirit of Ram Navami, he mentioned that while numerous countries face economic challenges, India is maintaining stability and growth through visionary policymaking.
On behalf of Uttar Pradesh’s 25 crore citizens, he expressed gratitude, stating that the Jewar airport will become a cornerstone of the state's development, creating extensive employment and investment opportunities.
He stressed that the airport will be intricately linked with major infrastructure networks, including Yamuna Expressway, the forthcoming Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Ganga Expressway, RRTS, and the proposed Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail corridor, thus forming a comprehensive high-speed, multi-modal connectivity ecosystem.
The Chief Minister also underscored the region’s increasing investment potential, noting that the Yamuna Expressway, Noida, and Greater Noida are already attracting significant proposals. He mentioned the recent establishment of a semiconductor manufacturing unit near the airport and the ongoing development of an electronics manufacturing cluster.
Referring to the airport as a hub for global connectivity, Yogi stated it will feature modern amenities such as aviation fuel farms, in-flight kitchens, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, along with advanced digital and energy-efficient technologies, all aligned with the vision of “Ease of Journey”.
He added that the development of a dedicated multi-modal cargo hub will assist Uttar Pradesh in overcoming challenges posed by its landlocked status, greatly enhancing trade and access to global markets.
