Tokyo, Feb 25 (NationPress) Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, landed in Tokyo on Wednesday for a two-day official visit to Japan. His agenda includes engaging with prominent businessmen to discuss avenues for enhancing and fostering industrial development in his state.
Throughout his stay, he plans to attend significant meetings and discussions aimed at bolstering bilateral partnerships and uncovering investment prospects for Uttar Pradesh.
"Greetings from 'Aditya,' hailing from the sacred land of Lord Shri Ram to the innovative realm of the rising sun," CM Yogi remarked in a post on X following his arrival in Tokyo.
He then engaged in a "productive and forward-thinking meeting" with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Infrastructure Projects Business Unit at Mitsui & Co., along with senior executives from the company.
"I have invited Mitsui & Co. to consider transformative investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh across sectors such as Renewable Energy, ICT, Semiconductors, and Data Centres, in line with the state's rapid industrial growth," the Chief Minister stated.
He highlighted discussions around collaboration in infrastructure initiatives, logistics frameworks, and industrial investments to enhance the growth corridors and global supply chain integration of Uttar Pradesh.
Subsequently, CM Yogi met with Shigeki Tanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Executive General Manager of Sales Management of Konoike Transport Co. Ltd., along with his team in Tokyo.
"We deliberated on expanding Konoike's operations in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on logistics parks, warehousing, and multimodal transport infrastructure. I extended an invitation for the company to explore opportunities in the medical devices manufacturing sector, utilizing the Dedicated Freight Corridor network and the Medical Devices Park in YEIDA, thereby further enhancing India-Japan industrial collaboration," the Chief Minister shared on X.
Additionally, CM Yogi is set to experience a 100-kilometer journey on a Maglev train. This train operates without traditional tracks; instead, it levitates above them through magnetic technology, enabling speeds of up to 600 km/h.
