During the announcement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath detailed the agreement, highlighting that students from Uttar Pradesh's higher technical institutions will have the opportunity to receive training in Japan. On the second day of his visit, CM Yogi presented Uttar Pradesh’s latest development strategies and investment opportunities to an international audience during the 'UP Investment Road Show' in Yamanashi. He noted that the state has transitioned its governance approach from a reactive stance to a proactive one, laying the groundwork for its accelerated economic growth.
Stressing the importance of robotics as a pivotal future technology, the Chief Minister stated that budget allocations have been made to establish a Centre of Excellence for Robotics. He expressed optimism that enhanced collaboration will elevate India-Japan relations and promote energy self-reliance while making technology more accessible to the general populace.
Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s demographic strengths and natural resources, CM Yogi remarked that the state features the most fertile land in the nation, abundant water resources, and a vast human capital base. Over the last nine years, it has achieved remarkable development, presenting plentiful opportunities for investors.
The Chief Minister also reiterated the transformative shift in governance from a 'reactive' to a 'proactive' model.
“The government is diligently working to attract investments, support industries, adopt innovative technologies, and expand global partnerships. In pursuit of this vision, a high-level delegation from Uttar Pradesh has traveled to Japan to turn potential into reality,” CM Yogi stated before a gathering of technology leaders and investors.
He recalled that the Governor of Yamanashi had visited Uttar Pradesh in December 2024, which set the stage for continuous dialogue, follow-ups, and exchanges between the two governments, paving the way for this collaborative effort.
Following a comprehensive study and report by the business delegation, the Uttar Pradesh team arrived in Yamanashi at the Governor’s invitation, solidifying this cooperation.
