Lucknow, Aug 7 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, is set to make a pivotal visit to Sambhal on Thursday, where he will officially inaugurate and lay the foundation for 220 government schemes, amounting to a substantial Rs 540 crore.
During this visit, the Chief Minister will also address a public gathering.
As per the details provided by the District Magistrate, Yogi will inaugurate 113 completed projects and lay the groundwork for another 107 new schemes within the district.
A significant aspect of his visit is the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the district headquarters office.
In addition, the Chief Minister is anticipated to visit the newly established police line in Baghjoi and review the presentation of the Kalki Tirtha Vision Document, which maps out a future development strategy for the area.
This visit to Sambhal comes on the heels of Yogi's recent tour of Aligarh, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation for 186 development projects with a total investment of Rs 958 crore.
In his address there, the Chief Minister underscored the necessity of promoting indigenous products and embracing a Swadeshi approach to national development.
"If we invest in our artisans and craftsmen, it will lay the foundation for our nation's progress and prosperity. However, if our resources flow into foreign hands, it will be utilized against us through terrorism and conversion, undermining India. Hence, Swadeshi is critically important," the UP Chief Minister stated to the large audience gathered.
Reinforcing his point, Yogi recalled that prior to 2017, Chinese goods overwhelmed Indian markets, particularly in Uttar Pradesh during festival seasons due to their low prices.
"However, since 2018, following the initiation of the 'One District, One Product' scheme, our artisans started creating products aligned with market demand," he mentioned.
