New Delhi, Jan 2 (NationPress) The government's flagship health insurance initiative, Ayushman Bharat, alongside the Universal Immunization Programme, is significantly enhancing healthcare in India. According to the government, Ayushman Bharat consists of four key components: Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission-ABDM.

As of November 30, 2025, a total of 1,81,873 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM) have been activated, featuring an expanded package of 12 services with teleconsultation capabilities. This initiative has recorded a footfall of 494.71 crore and 41.93 crore teleconsultations.

So far, 39.50 crore screenings for hypertension and 36.70 crore screenings for diabetes have been conducted. Additionally, 32.40 crore screenings for oral cancer, 15.23 crore screenings for cervical cancer in women, and over 8.37 crore screenings for breast cancer in women have taken place.

Under PM-JAY, around 42.48 crore Ayushman Cards have been issued by December 1, 2025, with a total of 10.98 crore hospital admissions worth approximately Rs. 1.60 lakh crores authorized under this scheme.

Moreover, 83.94 crore Ayushman Bharat health accounts have been established, and 7,47,000 healthcare professionals are registered under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.

The Universal Immunization Programme has successfully achieved over 90 per cent Full Immunization Coverage (FIC), as outlined in the National Health Policy.

The Ministry indicated that the National FIC for the period between April and October 2025 stands at 98.6 per cent, with a reported 28 per cent decrease in Measles cases compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the government's accomplishments in combating tuberculosis (TB) and HIV. India has achieved a 90 per cent success rate in TB treatment, with a 63 per cent increase in overall notifications of TB cases over the past decade.

The success rate has risen to 83 per cent, 85.5 per cent, 87.6 per cent, and 89 per cent in the years 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, respectively. As of January to October 2025, the success rate has reached 90 per cent, with 22.64 lakh TB patients reported.

Under Phase-V of the National AIDS and STD Control Programme (NACP), approximately 1.5 crore individuals from high-risk and bridge population groups have been provided prevention services through targeted interventions and Link Worker Schemes in 2025.

By October 2025, a total of 5.29 crore HIV tests have been conducted, including 2.08 crore tests for pregnant women. In 2025, around 2.09 crore Syphilis tests were also conducted among pregnant women.

As of October 2025, 838 Anti-retroviral therapy Centres are operational under the programme, with around 19.15 lakh People Living with HIV receiving anti-retroviral treatment (including those in the private sector).

Furthermore, the Ministry elaborated on how various government initiatives have enhanced maternal, child, and adolescent health, as well as family planning.
