New Delhi, Nov 24 (NationPress) - The Union Minister for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, emphasized that evidence-based ayurvedic products represent the future of wellness. He made these remarks during discussions on the forthcoming SIDDHI 2.0 (Scientific Innovation in Drug Development, Healthcare and Integration) initiative, which is being organized by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), under the auspices of the Ministry of Ayush.
The conclave, scheduled to take place in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from November 25-26, is set to serve as a pivotal national platform that will enhance the scientific, industrial, and commercial landscape of Ayurveda.
“SIDDHI 2.0 is a testament to our unwavering commitment to strengthen the traditional medicine sector, ensuring that Ayush is grounded in scientific principles,” stated Jadhav, who also serves as the Minister of State (IC) for Ayush and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare.
He further remarked, “CCRAS has established a robust national platform that fosters innovation, and its collaboration with industry is vital for translating research findings into high-quality Ayurvedic products that align with global standards.”
SIDDHI 2.0 signifies a pivotal transition towards research-driven product development, the utilization of indigenous technologies, and expedited translational pathways—core elements of India’s current Ayush innovation agenda.
“The future of Ayurveda hinges on its capacity to transform validated research into accessible and trustworthy solutions. SIDDHI 2.0 is a timely initiative that unites CCRAS’ scientific expertise with the manufacturing prowess of India’s Ayush sector, facilitating accelerated product development and streamlined regulatory processes,” noted Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush.
This initiative is propelled by the scientific leadership of CCRAS, which has articulated a comprehensive national vision for evidence-based Ayurveda. CCRAS is set to delineate India’s swiftly evolving Ayurvedic research landscape, playing a crucial role in drug development, standardization, validation, regulatory progress, and commercialization.
As a national translational accelerator, SIDDHI 2.0 aspires to enhance industry adoption of CCRAS technologies, fortify institutional networks, improve quality and regulatory frameworks, and support the creation of globally competitive Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals.
