Mumbai, Oct 16 (NationPress) India is not merely demonstrating potential; it is making significant strides toward establishing itself as the third-largest economy in the world, according to Sandip Patel, Managing Director of IBM India Private Limited.
During an interview with IANS at IBM's premier event, 'Think 2025', Patel emphasized the nation's leadership in development and technology.
“India has consistently been at the forefront of both development and the technological revolution. Today, we rank as the fourth-largest economy. With the significant investments from the government, alongside collaboration between industry and academia, I am confident that India is on a promising path to becoming the third-largest economy and achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047,” Patel stated.
At the event, he elaborated on IBM's strategy to address the disruptive forces reshaping the enterprise IT landscape, referred to by the company as its “tech trinity.”
“This tech trinity, which includes AI, Hybrid Cloud, and Quantum Computing, will empower enterprises to shape their new digital future in India. It revolves around converting data into actionable insights, scaling growth, and tackling some of the most formidable challenges of our time,” Patel explained.
He further noted that much of today’s enterprise data remains underutilized. When integrated with agentic AI, it can greatly enhance productivity and transform future business models.
“With the capabilities of quantum computing, we can address some of the most complex issues, ranging from risk modeling and drug discovery to autonomous vehicles and accelerated product development,” Patel added.
Additionally, Bharti Airtel has teamed up with IBM to enhance its newly introduced Airtel Cloud.
This partnership merges Airtel Cloud’s robust network and security with IBM’s expertise in hybrid cloud and AI technology, aiming to assist businesses in managing and expanding their AI initiatives safely and effectively.
