Seoul, April 21 (NationPress) The prominent internet company, Naver, has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tata Group's IT division to investigate business prospects in India.
This agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was formalized during a South Korea-India business forum organized by the Federation of Korean Industries in New Delhi. Key attendees included South Korean Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan, Naver's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Choi Soo-yeon, and India's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, alongside TCS President Ujjwal Mathur, as noted by Naver.
According to the MoU, Naver and TCS will merge their strengths in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and business-to-consumer (B2C) services to explore avenues in AI and digital transformation, with a particular emphasis on the Indian market, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
Naver anticipates that this partnership, which utilizes TCS's ecosystem and data resources, will foster new revenue-generating possibilities in India.
"As India actively develops its AI ecosystem aimed at establishing itself as an AI leader, we are optimistic about generating fresh business opportunities through our collaboration with TCS, leveraging synergies in AI, cloud, and B2C services," stated Naver CEO Choi.
In a separate announcement, Hyundai Motor disclosed its partnership with TVS Motor Company Ltd. to work together on developing an electric three-wheeler for the Indian market.
The joint development agreement, signed in New Delhi on Monday (local time), designates Hyundai Motor to spearhead the design and development of the electric three-wheeler, leveraging its research and development (R&D) expertise and human-centric design philosophy.
TVS Motor will contribute by co-developing the vehicle utilizing its electric vehicle (EV) platform and engineering expertise in three-wheelers, as well as its understanding of the local market.
This collaboration follows the introduction of an electric three-wheeler concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marking progress toward offering customized mobility solutions for Indian consumers.
