Among them, double Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker stands out as the only Indian athlete qualifying in two events: the women’s 10m air pistol and the women’s 25m pistol. This prestigious event highlights the best shooters from each of the 12 individual Olympic disciplines at the close of the shooting season.
Indian marksmen have made the cut in five out of the twelve events featured at this season's finale in Doha, which also offers ISSF prize money.
In addition to Manu, the teen sensation Suruchi Singh is also representing India, having emerged as the leading star of the year with three consecutive golds in the women’s 10m air pistol at competitions in Buenos Aires, Lima, and Munich. Not only did she qualify for Doha, but she also currently holds the title of the world's top-ranked shooter in this category.
Another Olympian, Esha Singh, earned her qualification by winning a gold in the women’s 10m air pistol at the final ISSF World Cup in Ningbo, China.
Other notable qualifiers include Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, a former world champion who secured his position in the men’s 10m air rifle with a gold in Buenos Aires, and Olympian Arjun Babuta, who earned his spot in the same event with a silver in Lima.
The reigning Asian Champion and world-record holder, Sift Kaur Samra, has also qualified for the women’s 50m rifle three positions (3P) event, thanks to her performance in Buenos Aires.
