Did Adani Sportsline's Tennis Tournament Set a New Record?

Ahmedabad, May 28 (NationPress) The GSTA Tennis Tournament 2025, orchestrated by Adani Sportsline, wrapped up with an electrifying finale, showcasing exceptional talent and thrilling tennis matches at the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park from May 24 to 27. The event recorded the highest participation for a GSTA Level 1 tournament in Gujarat over the last three years, featuring 268 registered participants across diverse categories. The gathering of enthusiastic parents, sports aficionados, and local tennis clubs added to the vibrant atmosphere.

Competitors battled it out across various age divisions, including mixed, boys, girls, men’s, and women’s categories.

In the Under-8 division, Viaan Sutariya triumphed with a 5-2 victory over Joshi Shravya. The Boys Under-10 final was a nail-biter, where Aaryan Nayak bested Gujarat’s top-ranked U-10 player, Shashwat Patel, in a dramatic tiebreaker with a score of 7-6 (4). Patel, also ranked No. 3 in the state for Boys U-12, returned for the U-12 final but succumbed to Arnav Pandey, who secured a 7-4 win.

Parte Shlok exhibited dominance in the Boys Under-14 final, defeating Vedang Dave with a commanding score of 7-1, while in the Boys Under-16 category, Palash Sutariya achieved a hard-fought 7-5 victory against Darsh Shah.

On the girls’ side, top-seeded Dhanvi Dabhi upheld her status by overcoming a tough challenge from Tvisha Shah with a score of 7-5. However, Shah could not recover in the Girls Under-12 final, where Reona Pancholi executed a decisive 7-0 triumph.

In the Girls Under-14 final, Harsha Deshpande—training at the Adani Sportsline Academy—overpowered Raghavi Jajoo with a 7-2 performance. Prapti Tiwari clinched the Girls Under-16 title with a 7-5 victory over Vani Shah and later added the Women’s Singles crown by defeating Foram Nayak in a close tiebreaker, 7-6(3), achieving a memorable double.

The senior categories generated additional excitement.

In the men’s singles final, Vimal Thakor outperformed Jignesh Thakor with an 8-3 score, while in the 45+ Singles, Parag Shah maintained his composure in a tight match against Abhilash Nair, ultimately winning 7-6 (6). The Men’s Doubles final featured the duo of Jignesh Thakor and Manan Thakor effectively defeating Krishna Leuva and Rahil Mehta with a score of 7-2.

The 35+ singles saw Harsh Lakhisarani claim the title with a 7-5 victory in the tournament's final match.
