Lausanne, July 2 (NationPress) The Minister of Sports for the State of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi, spearheaded Ahmedabad's aspiration to host a future Olympic and Paralympic Games during a visit to the Olympic Headquarters in Switzerland.
Sanghavi shared insights on social media regarding the discussions aimed at understanding the requirements for hosting such a grand event.
"At the Olympic Headquarters, we had productive discussions as part of the IOC's 'Continuous Dialogue' process to explore the potential of Ahmedabad as a future host for the Olympic and Paralympic Games."

This important interaction with the IOC and its Future Host Summer Commissions for the 2036 Summer Olympics seeks to evaluate the feasibility of India hosting the prestigious event.
The delegation, led by Harsh Sanghavi and IOA President P.T. Usha, included senior officials from the IOA, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, and the Government of Gujarat.
Officials from the Gujarat government stated that the discussions provided a significant opportunity for the Indian team to outline their vision for the Olympic Games in Ahmedabad while also gathering invaluable insights from the IOC.
