Gurugram, March 28 (NationPress) The 7th IDCA Women T-10 National Cricket Championship for Deaf 2026 has concluded, with the Andhra Pradesh Women’s Team emerging as the champions, while the Delhi Women’s Team secured the second position. In the final match held on Friday, Andhra Pradesh batted first, achieving a score of 73 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs. Although Delhi fought valiantly, they fell short by just five runs, finishing their innings at 68 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs.
The championship trophy was presented by former Indian cricketer Gursharan Singh, who graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He was joined by Santosh Kumar Rai, Special Commissioner of Trade & Tax; Ompal, a Ranji player; Dev Dutt, Head Coach of the Indian Deaf Team for Men and a Certified BCCI Coach; Susheel Gupta, Coach of the Indian Deaf Team for Men and in-charge of Bharat Nagar Cricket Ground; and Chander Prakash Kirodiwal, SSE / SP / SSB, DRM, all of whom were honored as guests of distinction.
Reflecting on the successful completion of this championship, hosted by the Haryana Deaf Cricket Association, Sumit Jain, President of IDCA, stated, “Throughout the past five days, we have witnessed remarkable talent, unwavering determination, and exemplary sportsmanship demonstrated by our extraordinary deaf athletes. The performances by both the Andhra Pradesh and Delhi Teams today were commendable, showcasing their dedication. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Chief Guest, Gursharan Singh ji, for taking the time to join us for this event.”

The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA), with support from the BCCI and recognized by the Deaf International Cricket Council and Asian Deaf Cricket Association, organized this championship.
D. Kanthamma from Andhra Pradesh shone brightly in the tournament, receiving multiple accolades. She was awarded Woman of the Match in the final, as well as the Best Batswoman of the Series and the Player of the Series for her outstanding consistent performances. Additionally, Priya Dixit from Uttar Pradesh was celebrated as the Best Bowler of the Series for her remarkable bowling skills.
