Did Arsenal Just Sign Midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford?

London, July 10 (NationPress) Arsenal has officially acquired midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford this Thursday.

The 31-year-old player has made a total of 196 appearances for Brentford across all competitions, including 122 in the Premier League, where he has netted 13 goals and provided 18 assists.

Christian began his football journey with Lyngby in Denmark, advancing through their youth setup and debuting for the first team at just 17 years old. After a short stint with Hamburg in Germany as an 18-year-old, he returned to Denmark in August 2013 to join Brondby.

While at Brondby, Christian established himself as a key player, demonstrating his leadership abilities. He earned the title of Player of the Year in 2017 and played a vital role in securing the Danish Cup during the 2017/18 season. Over five years, he made 147 appearances for Brondby, scoring 12 goals and assisting nine times.

In July 2018, Christian made a move to Italy, joining Fiorentina in Serie A, where he spent one season before moving to Brentford in May 2019.

Throughout his six seasons with the Bees, Christian consistently demonstrated his midfield strength and skills, playing a critical role during one of the most successful eras in Brentford’s history, which included promotion to the Premier League after a 74-year hiatus. He became the team captain ahead of the 2023/24 season and concluded the last season with a career-high tally of six goals from a defensive midfield position.

Having represented Denmark at youth levels, Christian made his senior debut in a 0-0 match against England in September 2020 and has since earned 35 caps for his national team.

Christian will don the number 16 jersey and will immediately integrate with his new teammates for pre-season.
