Ahmedabad, Feb 25 (NationPress) The Adani Sportsline athlete Poymantee Baisya, along with her partner Akash Pal, achieved a silver medal in the mixed doubles event at the WTT Feeder Cappadocia 2025. The prestigious table tennis tournament took place in Turkiye from February 17 to 21.
The pair launched their tournament journey with a convincing 3-1 victory over the Polish duo of Katarzyna Wegryzn and Mateusz Zalewski. In the quarter-finals, the Indian team maintained the same scoreline against Hong Kong's Li Hon Ming and Wong Hoi Tung. Advancing to the semi-finals, they triumphed over Korea Republic’s Cho Seungmin and Yoo Siwoo with another 3-1 win. However, in the finals, Baisya and Pal fell short with a score of 1-3 against the Chinese pair of Xue Fei and Han Feier.

The 22-year-old athlete has been part of the Garv Hai initiative since 2024.
