'He will be fully assessed and monitored by the England Men's medical team on his return to determine his availability for selection for the Rothesay first Test against New Zealand at Lord's, starting on Thursday 4 June,' the ECB statement read.

The ECB added that it had reached an agreement with Royal Challengers Bengaluru regarding the player's early return, underscoring the coordinated approach between franchise and national board — a protocol that has become standard practice during IPL windows that overlap with international schedules.
