BGT 2024-25: Opening Day Tickets for Boxing Day Test Fully Booked

Melbourne, Dec 10 (NationPress) The tickets for the opening day of the Boxing Day Test between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series have been fully booked, as confirmed by Cricket Australia on Tuesday.
A small number of public tickets may be available in a final release on December 24, providing a last opportunity for non-members to secure their seats for the Boxing Day Test.
Additionally, Cricket Australia reported that tickets for the New Year’s Test at the SCG are also in high demand, with only a few Category A and Category B tickets left for Days 1 to 3.
The overwhelming interest follows record crowds at the Adelaide Oval during the second Test of the series, which Australia won by 10 wickets, leveling the five-match series at 1-1.
The overall attendance at the Adelaide Oval reached 135,012 over three days, surpassing the previous record of 113,009 for a Test match against India, which was established over five days in 2014-15.
Moreover, the single-day attendance records for a Test against India in Adelaide were broken on both Day 1 and Day 2, with 50,186 and 51,642 attendees, respectively. This marked the third and fifth highest single-day attendances in the history of Test cricket at the Adelaide Oval, based on figures from Cricket Australia.
The opening Test of the series at the Perth Stadium also achieved a record attendance of 96,463.
