Chengdu, Dec 4 (NationPress) China triumphed over South Korea and France consecutively, maintaining an unbeaten streak at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Mixed Team World Cup held in Chengdu on Thursday.
Wang Manyu of China achieved a remarkable victory with scores of 11-7, 11-7, 11-8 against Lee Eun-hye, while world No.1 Wang Chuqin contributed another two wins, 11-9, 11-4 against An Jae-hyun, culminating in an 8-0 overall victory, as reported by Xinhua.
After the match, world No.1 Wang Chuqin remarked, "My teammates had a fantastic start, easing the pressure on me. Though An performed admirably, I managed to secure the win with fewer errors."
Later in the day, China faced off against France, where the home team had to contend with a spirited challenge from Felix Lebrun. Throughout the tournament, China has showcased dominance, remaining unbeaten.
In the mixed doubles, China's Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha defeated Alexis Lebrun and Yuan Jianan with scores of 11-7, 12-10, 11-5.
