In the men's singles, Li Shifeng triumphed over Singapore's Jason Teh Jia Heng with scores of 21-10, 21-17 at the Axiata Arena, while his compatriot Weng Hongyang advanced after overcoming Indonesia's Farhan.
In the women's singles, Wang Zhiyi defeated fellow Chinese player Han Qianxi 21-8, 21-17, with more victories for teammates Gao Fangjie and Han Yue, who also moved forward. The men's doubles pair of Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang easily outclassed the French duo of Christo Popov and Toma Junior Popov with a score of 21-17, 21-15.
