Doordarshan to Air the 2024-25 Season of Hockey India League

New Delhi, Nov 30 (NationPress) The national broadcaster of India, Doordarshan (DD), has formed a partnership with the Hockey India League (HIL) to present the exhilarating action of the tournament to millions of viewers across the nation.
The HIL is set to begin on December 28. This season is particularly significant as it marks the first-ever edition of the Women’s Hockey India League, alongside the highly anticipated men’s competition. The league will comprise eight men’s teams and four women’s teams, competing in Rourkela and Ranchi, showcasing elite talent from India and around the globe.
The introduction of the women’s league highlights Hockey India’s dedication to promoting gender inclusivity in sports and elevating women’s hockey to a prominent platform.

In a groundbreaking move, Doordarshan’s collaboration with Hockey India will extend to all National Championships. Moving forward, all Hockey India National Championships across various categories, as well as all hockey events in India under Hockey India’s ownership, will be aired on DD.
