Bracewell ends his career with an impressive tally of 74 Test wickets. He notably played a pivotal role in New Zealand's victory against Australia in Hobart during his third Test, earning the man-of-the-match accolade by taking 6-40 in a thrilling final innings, leading to a dramatic seven-run win.
This match remains the last occasion when New Zealand triumphed over their Australian rivals on their home turf in Test cricket.
In addition to his Test achievements, Bracewell claimed 46 wickets in limited-overs formats for New Zealand. His last international outing was in a Test match against Sri Lanka in Wellington in 2023. A recent rib injury has compelled him to conclude his stint with the domestic team Central Districts.
"This has been a proud chapter of my life, fulfilling a dream I harbored as a young cricketer. I am immensely thankful for the opportunities cricket has afforded me, allowing me to represent my country and play for Central Districts throughout my domestic career.

"It’s truly a privilege to have played both first-class and international cricket, and I cherish the time I've spent enjoying the game," Bracewell remarked in a statement via Central Districts.
Bracewell retires as one of the few contemporary all-rounders from New Zealand to have achieved the prestigious double of 4,000 runs and 400 wickets in first-class cricket, with 3,029 runs and 258 wickets amassed while representing Central Districts, marking the best all-round record in the team's history.
Beyond domestic cricket, Bracewell had stints in England's County Cricket with Essex and Northamptonshire.
