Liverpool, July 29 (NationPress) Everton has finalized the acquisition of left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old defender has committed to a four-year contract with the club, lasting until June 2029. Aznou, who represents Morocco at the senior international level, is a product of the prestigious La Masia academy, where he spent three formative years before transferring to Munich in the summer of 2023.
During his time in Germany, the promising Aznou made appearances in both the Bundesliga and Champions League, and participated in the Club World Cup this summer.
“I am thrilled to be here. It’s a huge honor to join this team. The project they presented to me is exceptional. The Premier League is the best league globally, and I can’t wait to get started,” Aznou told evertontv.
After engaging in discussions with Everton manager David Moyes, Aznou quickly became convinced to join and becomes the fourth summer signing for the club, following Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, and Mark Travers.
Aznou shared, “[Moyes] spoke with me about the team and how he envisions my role. I made my decision immediately after our conversation. His words instilled confidence in me, prompting my decision to sign.”
In the early stages of his career, Aznou arrives at Everton with significant experience in high-level European football. Born in Barcelona, he lived there for 16 years, then moved to Germany before returning to Spain last season, where he completed a short-term loan at Real Valladolid.
During the latter half of the 2024/25 season, Aznou tallied 13 appearances in LaLiga, including 10 starts.
On this signing, Moyes commented, “We are excited to welcome Adam to Everton. He is a young, talented player with immense potential. Acquiring a left-back is challenging, and we believe this young player will develop during his time with us.”
