New Delhi, March 26 (NationPress) FIFA has announced the financial distribution framework for its upcoming club tournament, which features a remarkable USD 1 billion prize pool for the 32 participating clubs, alongside an innovative global solidarity initiative. The tournament champion stands to gain up to USD 125 million.

During the Group Stage, teams will receive USD 2 million for every victory and USD 1 million for each draw across the six group matches. As teams advance through the knockout stages, the monetary incentives rise significantly. The Round of 16 will provide an additional USD 7.5 million, while the Quarter-finals will contribute USD 13.125 million, the Semi-finals will add USD 21 million, and the final match winner will earn a further USD 30 million. The overall champion will be awarded a stunning USD 40 million.

“The financial distribution model of the FIFA Club World Cup epitomizes the apex of club football and signifies the most substantial prize pool for a football tournament featuring a seven-match group stage and playoff format, with a potential total payout of USD 125 million for the winners,” stated FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The revamped FIFA Club World Cup is set to take place on the global stage in June and July 2025, as 32 of the world's top teams converge in the USA for its inaugural edition.

This truly international event will unite the most successful club teams from each of the six continental confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA.

“Beyond the prize money for the teams, we are launching an unparalleled solidarity investment program targeting an additional USD 250 million to be allocated to club football globally. This solidarity effort will significantly enhance our ongoing initiatives to make football truly worldwide.

“Furthermore, FIFA will not retain any funding from this tournament, as all revenues will be reinvested into club football, nor will it impact FIFA’s reserves, which are dedicated to the development of global football through the 211 FIFA member associations,” added the FIFA President.
