Freya Thakkar and Jai Singh Sabharwal Secure Gold Medals at ARC Show Jumping Competition

Mumbai, December 13 (NationPress) Freya Thakkar and Jai Singh Sabharwal triumphed in the show jumping competition held by the Amateur Riders’ Club (ARC) at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, showcasing 15 of the finest equestrian talents alongside their magnificent horses.
The event presented participants with opportunities to compete across various categories, aiming to refine their skills in preparation for upcoming national and international challenges.
This competition offered a platform for participants to demonstrate their equestrian prowess on their majestic steeds, exhibiting extraordinary precision, agility, and teamwork while tackling challenging courses, skill, speed, and the essential harmony between riders and their horses. The day featured two competitive categories – 80 cm and 1.10 m.
In the 80 cm category, Freya Thakkar on Knighthood achieved the top spot with no penalties in a time of 91.50 seconds, followed by Rehaan Shah on Theo in second place with a time of 77.04 seconds and 4 penalties. The third position was claimed by Jethu Sing on Mount Mckinley, completing the course in 77.74 seconds with 4 penalties.
In the 1.10 meter category, Jai Singh excelled, taking the first place on Carna with a remarkable time of 33.22 seconds and no penalties, followed closely by his second mount, Major, which finished in 37.84 seconds with zero penalties. Freya Deshmane on Reinroe Adare Acrobat secured third place with a time of 39.69 seconds and no penalties.
Upon her victory, Freya Thakkar expressed, “Achieving my first gold medal is an incredibly proud moment, especially after having previously earned bronze and silver. Equestrian sport requires a profound connection with your horse, and I am thankful to Knighthood for their trust in me. This competition was crucial for my preparation for the Junior Nationals in Delhi next week.
