Vadodara, March 19 (NationPress) The Pickleball Association of Gujarat (PAG), under the guidance of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), is gearing up to launch the Gujarat Masters from March 21 to 23 in Vadodara.

This tournament boasts over 250 entries across 29 categories, making it the largest state-level pickleball event ever conducted in Gujarat, with a prize pool exceeding Rs 5 lakh.

Headed by a stellar team of former professional athletes and ITF tennis veterans, the PAG is swiftly becoming a pivotal player in Gujarat’s sports landscape. Notable members include Saurabh Trivedi, Ronak Mehta, Rahul Vora, and Shaleen Bhatt — all integral parts of India's 35+ tennis squad — alongside cricketer Mrugesh Kothari, a representative of India's 40+ tennis team, who bring unparalleled expertise and zeal to the association's mission of nurturing elite pickleball talent.

Commenting on this landmark event, Saurabh Trivedi, president of the Pickleball Association of Gujarat, stated, "The Gujarat Masters signifies a pivotal moment for pickleball in India. With unprecedented participation, this event not only marks the largest tournament in Gujarat’s pickleball history, but it also serves as a beacon for a broader movement aimed at establishing a robust and sustainable ecosystem where players can compete, evolve, and receive national and international recognition."

To further enhance talent development, PAG has introduced a Player Sponsorship Program, which provides financial and training support to promising athletes. Additionally, PAG Labs, a high-performance training and mentorship initiative, will soon be launched under the expertise of internationally renowned pickleball coach Radhika Trivedi and AIPA head coach Bhupendra.

Through such initiatives, Gujarat is rapidly establishing itself as a powerhouse in Indian pickleball, paving a clear path for aspiring athletes to advance from grassroots to global platforms.
