Ahmedabad, Jan 17 (NationPress) The Gulf Giants, owned by Adani Sportsline and a franchise in the International League (IL) T20, have unveiled a collaboration with two prominent cricket training facilities – Swantons Cricket Academy and Smashing Point Sports Academy (SPSA) - Raise Your Game – located in Dubai, UAE. This marks the inaugural partnership between Adani Sportsline and cricket academies in the Middle East.

Through this alliance, Adani Sportsline aims to enhance the Gulf Giants’ footprint in the region by connecting with players trained at the academies, along with their families, coaches, and other cricket fans. The collaboration will feature exclusive branding opportunities, fan engagement activities, player appearances, and will pave the way for aspiring athletes to join the Gulf Giants’ practice sessions as net players.

Recently, players from the Gulf Giants, competing in the current ILT20 Season 3, visited the academies for an engaging session with the children. Ollie Robinson, the English wicketkeeper-batter, alongside the team’s batting coach Grant Flower, visited SPSA, while Gerhard Erasmus, the Namibian allrounder, and coach Ottis Gibson spent quality time at Swantons Cricket Academy.

In the near future, Adani Sportsline will host a tournament titled “Little Giants”, which will see participation from several schools across the UAE, according to a release issued on Friday.

“The collaboration with these academies is a crucial move towards realizing the true potential of cricketing talent in the UAE. The ‘Little Giants’ tournament is yet another initiative aimed at creating pathways for young cricketers. We aspire to reinforce our mission of making cricket an inclusive and thriving sport across communities while expanding our global presence,” remarked Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Adani Sportsline.

Regarding the partnership, Zameer Sulaiman, Senior Manager at Swantons Cricket Academy, expressed, “We are thrilled to collaborate with the Gulf Giants and become part of the Adani Sportsline family. Their expertise will be instrumental in providing young players with a platform to refine their skills, advance in their careers, and reach their full potential.”

Sony Cheruvathur, Director of SPSA, stated, “We take pride in partnering with one of the most successful teams, Gulf Giants, in UAE’s premier league, ILT20. Their support enhances the cricketing landscape in the UAE, and we are eager to work together to nurture cricket at the grassroots level.”
