I-League 2024-25: Real Kashmir and Inter Kashi End in 1-1 Stalemate

Srinagar, Dec 9 (NationPress) Real Kashmir FC faced Inter Kashi in a thrilling match that ended in a 1-1 draw during the fourth round of the I-League 2024-25 season at the TRC Football Turf ground on Monday. The match saw midfielder Lalramsanga open the scoring early in the eighth minute, putting Real Kashmir in the lead. However, in the second half, Inter Kashi’s Spanish striker Domingo Berlanga equalized in the 69th minute.
Both teams are now positioned at the top of the I-League standings with eight points each.
The Snow Leopards started the match aggressively and quickly capitalized on their momentum. Lalramsanga found himself unmarked at the far post during a corner kick, allowing him to deftly head the ball past Inter Kashi’s goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya in the eighth minute.
Inter Kashi, showing resilience, gradually took control of the match. They only managed to create significant chances in the second half.
Despite attempts from Serbian Nikola Stojanovic and Finnish Joni Kauko to break through, Real Kashmir's defense held strong as they kept the visitors at bay early in the second half.
Berlanga nearly scored earlier when he skillfully turned his defender inside the box but sent his left-footed shot over the bar.
Finally, Berlanga found the back of the net in the 69th minute, capitalizing on a counter-attack. He sprinted onto a well-placed aerial ball and calmly slotted it home with his left foot.
In the closing moments, both goalkeepers made crucial saves to preserve the draw. Bhattacharya thwarted a powerful shot from Shahid Nazir destined for the top corner with just over 10 minutes remaining, while Real Kashmir’s Mohd Arbaz made a vital save against a close-range attempt from Kauko in the 86th minute.
