The day commenced with an exhilarating rally at New Delhi's historic Jantar Mantar, where a throng of players, coaches, and students paraded together, guided by officials from the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI). This event set an energetic tone for a day dedicated to highlighting Kho Kho's evolution from a traditional Indian sport into a rapidly growing global phenomenon.

Organized by the KKFI, the festivities featured an engaging magic show and a quiz competition centered on the history, rules, and development of the sport. These activities fostered community engagement and increased awareness of Kho Kho's international progress.

Alongside the global celebrations, National Kho Kho Day was observed, with state federations organizing various events in their respective regions.

Sudhanshu Mittal, President of KKFI and the International Kho Kho Federation (IKKF), expressed, “I extend my warmest congratulations to the entire Kho Kho family. In recent years, Kho Kho has become a symbol of pride and identity for our nation.

“Kho Kho has achieved global recognition, being played in 56 countries, which fills us with immense pride.
