Ranked second, Tanvi showcased her excellent skills in the women’s singles, overcoming fifth-seeded Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan from Indonesia with a score of 21-19, 21-14 in just 35 minutes. Throughout the tournament, Tanvi has displayed outstanding performance, winning all her matches in straight games.
Vennala Kalagotla also secured her place in the semifinals, battling hard against Janyaporn Meepanthong from Thailand in a thrilling 58-minute match. Vennala won the first game 21-18, but after a fierce comeback from Janyaporn, who took the second game 21-17, Vennala ultimately triumphed in the final game, clinching the match with a score of 21-18, 17-21, 21-17.
Both players will now face tough competition in the semifinals, with Tanvi set to compete against eighth seed Yin Yi Qing from China and Vennala up against Liu Si Ya.
