Leading the charge are Tanvi Sharma, Vennala Kalagotla, and the top-seeded men’s doubles team of Bhargav Ram and Viswa Tej.
Second-seeded Tanvi Sharma displayed her prowess in the women’s singles, defeating China’s Shi Si Chen with scores of 21-19, 21-14 in the Round of 32. She continued her strong performance with a decisive 21-14, 21-15 victory against Thailand’s Phannachet Passa-Orn in the Round of 16, securing her spot in the quarterfinals.
Vennala also advanced to the last eight after winning consecutive matches for the second day.
In the men’s doubles, the top seeds Bhargav Ram and Viswa Tej claimed victory over Japan’s Haru Masuda and Shogo Miyashita with a scoreline of 21-15, 21-15, progressing to the Round of 16.
