The Indian squad arrived in Canberra from Perth on Thursday morning, ready to compete in the day-and-night match against the Prime Minister’s XI, scheduled for Saturday at Manuka Oval.
India achieved a remarkable 295-run triumph over Australia in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy held in Perth, taking a 1-0 lead in the five-Test series.
The team, led by Jasprit Bumrah in Rohit’s absence, bowled out Australia for 238 in the final session of day four while pursuing a daunting target of 534 runs. India's victory over the reigning champions marks their largest away win in terms of runs, exceeding their previous record of 222 runs in Melbourne back in 1977.
This victory signifies India's fifth win against just two losses in their last nine Tests on Australian soil, dating back to the 2018-19 tour.
