New Delhi, Feb 17 (NationPress) The head coach of the Indian senior women's football team, Crispin Chettri, has officially announced a 23-member roster for the upcoming Pink Ladies Cup, a friendly tournament set to take place in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, from February 20 to 26, coinciding with the FIFA International Match Window.
The Indian squad will compete against Jordan on February 20, Russia on February 23, and the Korea Republic on February 26. All matches are scheduled to be held at the Al Hamriya Sports Club Stadium in Sharjah, UAE.
Prior to this tournament, the Indian team trained in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, following the conclusion of Round 6 of the Indian Women's League on February 7. These friendly matches serve as vital preparation for the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers, which will occur in May-June 2025.
Crispin Chettri commented, "The Pink Ladies Cup will be a significant experience for many of our players as they will learn about the competitive standards.
