Hyderabad, March 27 (NationPress) The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have won the toss and opted to bowl first against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 7th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday. Avesh Khan, freshly recovered from an injury and coming directly from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, has taken the place of Shahbaz Ahmed.
LSG captain Rishabh Pant stated, “We will bowl first. I believe it’s crucial to dismiss them early and then chase down the target. Our team combination leads us to this decision; hence, we prefer to bowl first. We possess the batting strength to chase anything. The only change is Avesh coming back in, while Shahbaz misses out. We aim to chase whatever they set, it’s inconsequential.”
Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins remarked, “Our approach remains unchanged; we always strive for a positive outcome. It’s an engaging experience. You understand the nature of this tournament when you join. Even conceding 10 or 11 runs per over can be decisive on certain days. We aim to secure victories as a team and excel as a bowling faction. We hope to score heavily. We are utilizing the same lineup as the previous match.”
