He was acquired by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 8.40 crore at the IPL auction, marking his first bidding experience.

In the 2025/26 Ranji Trophy, he emerged as the top wicket-taker of the season: 60 wickets in 17 innings at an impressive average of 12.65, leading Jammu and Kashmir to a historic first Ranji title. Nabi's exceptional performance earned him the player of the tournament award.

Kartik Sharma (Chennai Super Kings)

A prolific six-hitter and wicketkeeper from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, Kartik Sharma became the joint-most expensive uncapped Indian player at an IPL auction when the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) acquired him for Rs 14.2 crore.

He was the joint-highest six-hitter in the initial phase of the 2025-26 Ranji season and led in six-hitting during the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy. After training with CSK's larger squad throughout IPL 2025, he secured a spot in their main lineup for IPL 2026.

Mangesh Yadav (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)

A pivotal career moment for Mangesh occurred during the Madhya Pradesh T20 League, where he took 14 wickets across six matches with an impressive average of 12.00. After competing for Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket alongside RCB captain Rajat Patidar, he finally received a long-awaited call from the Royal Challengers Bangalore, identified as a suitable replacement for Yash Dayal.

Mangesh is also capable of contributing with the bat lower down the order, and despite a limited domestic cricket sample size, RCB's scouting believes he is fit enough to secure a place in RCB's starting XI.

Prashant Veer (Chennai Super Kings)

A left-arm spinner who can hit sixes down the order, Prashant Veer made headlines during the IPL 2026 auction, joining Kartik Sharma as the joint-most expensive uncapped Indian player when CSK picked him up for Rs 14.2 crore.

After impressing during a CSK trial in Chennai and in the BCCI Under-23 tournament, Veer was selected by the franchise as a potential substitute for Ravindra Jadeja, who was traded to the Rajasthan Royals before IPL 2026.

He concluded the UPT20 league with 320 runs at a strike rate of 155 and contributed eight wickets.
