The Punjab Kings franchise shared this exciting news on their social media platforms, giving a warm welcome to the duo. In a video showcasing Iyer's arrival, the team humorously captioned it, "F-IYER checked in!" Additionally, they featured a photo of Stoinis with the caption, "He's arrived to make his Marc #SherSquad, ready for Hulk smash in #IPL2025?"

Back in January, Iyer was appointed as the captain of Punjab after being acquired for a staggering Rs 26.75 crore during last year's mega auction held in Jeddah. He previously led the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to victory in the last edition of this lucrative tournament.

On the other hand, Australian all-rounder Stoinis was signed by the Punjab Kings for Rs 11 crore, joining his compatriots: Glenn Maxwell (Rs 4.20 crore), Josh Inglis (Rs 2.60 crore), Aaron Hardie (Rs 1.25 crore), and Xavier Bartlett (Rs 80 lakh).

As the prestigious league approaches, Iyer praised the strength of his team, highlighting the mix of experience and young talent.

"We've got a variety of players in our team, all of whom are match winners and experienced. There are many youngsters who have excelled in the domestic circuit. It’s an excellent blend of seniors and juniors, and the talent is immense. However, I believe that the most crucial aspect will be the camaraderie within the team. If we can achieve that, we will leave no stone unturned," Iyer remarked in a video shared by Star Sports on social media.
