Jaipur, April 13 (NationPress) Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal expressed his enjoyment while at the crease after scoring 75 runs, leading his team to a total of 173/4 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

His innings featured 10 fours and 2 sixes, laying a solid foundation for teammates like Riyan Parag (30) and Dhruv Jurel (35) to accelerate the scoring in the latter stages of the match.

“It was a great experience; I was focusing on understanding the conditions. I aimed to build a partnership to ensure we could reach at least 170 runs. I wanted to provide a solid start for my team and thoroughly enjoyed my time out there,” Jaiswal shared with broadcasters during the mid-innings break.

The opener noted that the pitch was somewhat two-paced and felt confident it was a defendable score on this surface.

“It’s a pretty decent score for us; the wicket has a bit of unpredictability. If we bowl effectively, it should lead to an exciting game,” he remarked.

“(A message to the bowlers) Just enjoy the bowling, relish the game, and let’s work together by targeting the stumps,” Jaiswal emphasized.

Jurel contributed an impressive unbeaten 35 runs from 23 balls, including 2 sixes and 2 fours, while Parag chipped in with 30 runs off 22 balls, featuring 3 fours and a six.

For RCB, Krunal Pandya was the standout bowler, finishing with economical figures of 1-29 in his four overs.
